There are clouds over my house, <br />They blew in just today. <br />I heard they came from your neck of the woods, <br />And provided you their shade yesterday. <br /> <br />They were huge and white as cotton balls, <br />As they floated over my yard. <br />I felt as if I could reach out and touch them, <br />But I knew that would be too hard. <br /> <br />I think God placed them high enough, <br />Just for man to see. <br />And not to be able to take them down, <br />For then there might be nothing for you or me. <br /> <br />The wind I'm told is picking up, <br />And I think it's blowing down your way. <br />So now you will enjoy the clouds I've seen, <br />Over your house later on today.<br /><br />Linda Winchell<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/clouds-over-my-house/
