Buried in sorrow <br />I was overtaken by my grief <br />I thought I had it going <br />But that was just my belief. <br /> <br />I struggled hard to make it <br />But the tougher times would get <br />Then I decided to give up <br />But God said, 'No you, not yet.' <br /> <br />So I kept right on fighting <br />Smiling trying to do some good <br />And I truly kept praying <br />It was comforting that I should. <br /> <br />Life made me doubt <br />When prayer gave me hope <br />Then I was delivered <br />When God decided I could cope. <br /> <br />When I looked around me <br />All my troubles were the same <br />I had been spititually challenged <br />I'd only been wrestling in my brain.<br /><br />Cecelia Weir<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/brightened-sorrow/
