I had a dream that told of love,
But love I do not think it was.
Maybe curiosity.
That's what my dream may truly be.
A pure white boat,
A pitch black night,
A girl and I with little light.
She smiles first.
I kiss her cheek
Caress her soft.
Caress her sweet.
I look into her hazel eyes
And wonder why she's not with guys.
She likes me. Yes.
She said she does.
Do I like her?
Truth be told I can't be sure.
'A boyfriend's what I've got, ' I say,
But could I swing the other way?
Do I like you for you?
Do I want something new?
Unsure.
What's that you say? A Dream?
Ah, so it was.
Reality blurs when one thinks of love.

Kathlene Ann

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/dreams-of-the-heart/
