Weeks become seasons, but in no mad rush. <br />Leisurely pleasured, life has become thus <br />That, comfortably rising, deciding our day, <br />We work for a while, then take time for play. <br />Days often divided between just these two <br />Quietly pass warmly, between me and you. <br />One thing is common, and can't be detered. <br />Whatever involves us, some laughter is heard. <br /> <br />When life is made merry each day can be fun <br />We make sure of a laugh before the day's done. <br />Believing that smiling should medicine be <br />A sense of good humour is tops we agree <br />Time was we would row, not speak for a day. <br />Huffing with pride, not a word would we say. <br />But silver years taught us time passes by. <br />Once gone, years embeded a code we could try. <br /> <br />So good humour became our ultimate aim. <br />Love gets pleasant by making it life's earnest game. <br />Play your part, work for love, and pray often too. <br />Give out smiles, unacceptable frowns will not do. <br />Whatever beguiles us we make it our claim <br />To treat testing occurance exactly the same. <br />When day draws to close we review before bed <br />Our refusal to let blues in, we make peace instead <br /> <br />Let's make love not wage war, life's not meant for fight <br />Does it matter who's wrong, or who's in the right? <br />Show the world war can never work, nor ever it should. <br />Love starts at the hearth, to achieve brotherhood. <br />We must learn to give as we live, brush up our smile, <br />For smiling when hurt creates love that's worthwhile. <br />Pleasant loving costs nothing but can help us to see <br />From results, how easy real love must be.<br /><br />Fay Slimm<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/easier-love-2/
