It felt as though my life was fading into darkness, <br />Pressing down upon my shoulders, <br />I struggled to break free but was unable, <br />Pressing down with the strength of many boulders. <br /> <br />I looked upon the angel's face, <br />And I noticed something strange, <br />Something of his features told me of his strength and grace, <br />Suddenly they were distorted in to something different. <br /> <br />I noticed sobs coming from the angel, <br />Was I dying? Departing from our known world? <br />Don't cry, beautiful angel. Then I noticed my own tears, <br />That's when my vision became swirled. <br /> <br />The darkness swarmed back over me, <br />When I noticed the fire in my hand, <br />And the searing pain that came just below the knee, <br />'It's me! Peter! ' the angel shouts in my ear. <br /> <br />Peter? Who's Peter? Why should I know this name? <br />When suddenly I notice a white light in the darkness, <br />It's lovely rays cascading over the pool of black, <br />I begin to move closer, It seems completely harmless. <br /> <br />Suddenly everything bacomes still, <br />'Can you hear me? !
