AN OPTIMISTIC THOUGHT <br /> <br />Is it not commendable, that we humans are <br />able, <br />With our advanced modern materialistic <br />technology, <br />To create so many things, designed to out- <br />live us physically? ! <br />Though with the passage of time and history, <br />Our monumental edifices also get defaced, <br />eroded and dissolved; <br />While they remain surrounded by an aura of <br />mystery! <br />Yet it is rather regrettable, that despite all our <br />advances, we are not able, <br />To out-live a simple polythene bag, which is <br />not biodegradable! <br />Such little thoughts within, make me to ponder <br />and think, <br />Though some may call it wishful thinking! <br />It makes me with hope to think, that perhaps <br />God the Supreme Being, <br />Has inserted a soul within, all accounted and <br />tagged, <br />To out-live all non-biodegradable things, - <br />like those polythene bags! <br /> <br /> -Raj Nandy <br /> New Delhi <br /> 14 Sep 08<br /><br />RAJ NANDY<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/an-optimistic-thought/
