From deep and dead places, <br />Where lurking fear catches, <br />Unwary and lonely, <br />The souls who dare enter, <br />To display from thereafter <br />Addiction-prone faces, <br />Beauty gets fettered again. <br /> <br />Hidden, where darkness <br />All beauty dispatches, <br />No light-hearted laughter <br />Lives long in those dungeons. <br />Existing where alcohol <br />Numbs, and leaves markings. <br />But, beauty can rise yet again. <br /> <br />Without any feeling <br />Guilt soon lines the faces <br />Of dying hearts, yearning <br />For life without lies, yet <br />Clutching still crutches means <br />Much more than weakness, but <br />Meaning arises with beauty again. <br /> <br />The time comes when loving <br />Is stronger than wanting. <br />Hazy-eyed lethargy <br />Subsides then to vibrancy. <br />Love comes to show wisdom <br />Is needed for living. <br />Beauty then becomes freed <br />And arises again.<br /><br />Fay Slimm<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/beauty-arises-again/
