The sycamore seeds through the air gently falling <br />And winding in circles then rest on the ground, <br />This October morning so still and so peaceful <br />While hues of the autumn are cast all around. <br /> <br />The golden leaves blend with the scarlet and amber <br />Together they're mixed in a palette so fine, <br />I look to the skies that are blue as a sapphire <br />And framed in a picture where colours entwine. <br /> <br />The sunlight is shining and warming the morning <br />The frost of the dawn slowly fading away, <br />With songs of the sparrows that roost in the hedgerow <br />My heart feels the joy of this beautiful day. <br /> <br />The sycamore seeds through the air gently falling <br />And as I walk on I catch one in my hand, <br />I'll keep it forever for it shall remind me <br />The day that I came to this wonderful land.<br /><br />ANDREW BLAKEMORE<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/sycamore-seeds/
