Lying in stillness, and listening, I try <br />Catching the dewdrops song to the morning. <br />Soundless warmth falls from a brightening sky <br />Aglow with ethereal delight of the dawning. <br />Purring leaves sigh as a breeze rustles air. <br />Floating gossamer downwards, it catches <br />Shivering grasses, which mutely declare <br />Their delight as each resonance passes. <br />Rocks inaudibly stir, subtlely moving <br />To harpstrings of silence heralding day. <br />Motionless life welcomes refrains, approving <br />The message that, soundless, melodies play. <br />An earthwide Concerto of Love, unheard. <br />This music of silence needs not a word.<br /><br />Fay Slimm<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/music-of-silence/
