I hear your whispers, <br />Sssh don’t make a sound <br />Upon the table…., the label <br /> Will slow down the crowd <br /> <br />Listen to the commotion…., <br />The way that they talking walking….., <br />Almost slow motion, this potion on the table <br />Veils down emotion, <br /> <br />Ego now able……, now able, <br /> <br />Now we’re escaping…, but only to look down <br />Looking down its haunting…., it’s haunting <br />The label gives magic…, pushing up pace <br />It has people talking…., talking <br /> <br />They believe it an ally…, <br />Let them dream if they may <br />There heads soon reviving.., yes reviving <br />Childishly desired days, <br /> <br />Hot as a fever, there rattling bones <br />As wide as an ocean…., falling in any bed any home, <br />And this pantomime around them is just for tonight <br />But they’ll believe it’s the greatest…, yes the greatest <br /> <br />Never a mistake just a forgetful night.., <br />Because on the table…, is a label that makes <br />Everything right, it’s messed up around them…., <br />It’s open in plain sight, <br /> <br />So again on the table is the label, <br />And everything is right…., they feel like they dying…, <br />They’re dying, when shone under true light <br />Out comes the label, placed on the table….., and <br />Once again everything’s right<br /><br />Daniel Richards<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/upon-the-table/
