Still in the struggle <br />Still my emotions torn between the middle <br />Picking up the steel or nursing my skills <br />Hard to say these things but the truth kills <br />But sometimes when I am under the sun <br />I am happy tremble on purpose just to fall under it <br />Just plummet from the hill to reach it but still… <br />My life is an obstacle for real <br />It makes it hard for the sun I can’t feel <br />Patience is a virtue but on the way your emotions could hurt you <br />When I reach the sun though I am going to look at the sky and embrace the light <br />I told my friends that I would one day twinkle my toes in the magical sand that’s white <br />Feel for all the underdogs the pressure that’s up under all <br />But if you’re overcome by it all it can make you all fall <br />When I hear them speak they say when there is hope for tomorrow <br />At the same time the next day was a repeated yesterday <br />Another let down but the destiny there God brings them different answers <br />How do you expect to reach your dream if you don’t roll the dice? <br />How you gonna live though it all if you never lived without that rice? <br />I am now at the top I know how it feels to be at the bottom <br />I used to be the underdogs underdog <br />I love how I look in the sky and exhale I finally fled from the fog <br />God test…To break through the pain to reach closer to the fame <br />Not fame as a star but what love brings from afar <br />No one life is in a jar everyone should be able to obtain a car <br />These things and more lie in my soul <br />No more snow buries my emotions <br />No more obstacles that blocks my feelings<br /><br />Leland Wright<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/my-soul-21/
