the light creeps from the horizon <br />the clouds hang heavy in the sky <br />the fog clouds my surroundings <br />as the dew drops form on the ground <br /> <br />the cold peirces through my skin <br />numbing my body completely <br />the wind blows against me <br />chilling all thoughts of you <br /> <br />i watch out of this window <br />the dew streaks down the surface <br />crying for me when i am incapable <br />leaving scars deep in its path <br /> <br />i think of when you left me <br />your words hurling thorugh the air <br />leaving gashes, deep and purple <br />unable to heal the wounds you've given <br /> <br />words resonate in my mind <br />like a bell or a gong after struck <br />echoing through my thoughts <br />rippling in every direction <br /> <br />it's a pain unlike any other <br />a torture that eats you away <br />melting all purpose in life <br />as the pain leaves you hollow and numb <br /> <br />as i am now reduced to that <br />coasting through life on autopilot <br />floating on the surface, barely breathing <br />when the truth finally reveals that i'm drowning<br /><br />May Namoc<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/dew-drops-2/
