There are times, <br />When things get too much, <br />The pain excruciating, <br />Our heart cries out for relief! <br /> <br />In those time, <br />We oft turn to some opiate <br />In the hope that, the pain will lessen <br />With our senses dulled. <br /> <br />Knowing that our bodies, <br />Succumb willingly to transient relief, <br />Hiding from knowing that <br />There is no escaping the truth. <br /> <br />So when tough choices, <br />That often inhabit harsh reality, <br />Must be faced, <br />Know this, my friend. <br /> <br />You are important, <br />And influence the lives of many others. <br />You are not alone, and will always be accompanied <br />By quiet angels, who you meet in changing forms. <br /> <br />You are loved, and precious beyond measure. <br />A pearl in this world’s oyster <br />That lovingly yields to pain, and <br />Grows more beautiful, rare and strong <br /> <br />When the pain seems unbearable, <br />The temptation to withdraw into a protective shell <br />Seems natural, remember your shell <br />Also keeps the pain within you. <br /> <br />So my friend, stay open to love and light <br />That pours unexpectedly, if you are ready to accept them. <br />Cuddle into the womb of nature, and feel secure in the knowing <br />That the universe, loves you.<br /><br />Anita Atina<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/you-are-precious-2/
