I brushed through the evening sky, <br />Where birds flying high; <br />I grinned. <br />They’re free from everything human has, <br />I saw contentment in them. <br />Under the wings of protection, <br />Off…they go, <br />To somewhere I don’t know… <br />I frowned. <br />The birds had flew away, <br />I’m on my own, <br />Alone by myself… <br />I wondered, <br />Where had the birds flown to? <br />Where are they? <br />No one knows… <br /> <br />Darkness came settling <br />When the dusk welcomes the night, <br />Silence creped in… <br />I fumbled in the dark, <br />Not knowing how much the falls, <br />Still, keep pushing, <br />Pushing myself to search for the beam, <br />But it can never be found… <br />Far end, <br />God, came to my rescue… <br />I knew He loves me… <br />He showed me where the birds flown to, <br />He passed me a warm glow of candle light, <br />For not letting me go blind in the shadows, <br />But most of all, <br />To have the courage and hope, <br />to continue the drawn out journey…<br /><br />C.H.
