My stomachs growling and popping! <br />my head is spinning <br />I think I got the flu? <br /> <br />Cause everything I 've tried to eat <br />comes up to revisit me, hung over my toilet <br />Tidy bowl of blue! <br /> <br />At first I thought I had swallowed a critter, in my sleep! <br />with all this commotion, in my stomach going on! <br />But once I ate, I realized real fast <br />that I was harboring, the stomach flu! <br /> <br />I thought those flu shots, that they were handing out <br />were suppose to do the trick? <br />But all they did was take my money <br />and seem to have made me now, flu sick! <br /> <br />I will never take that shot again! <br />I'll take my chances, that's what I'll do! <br />So that maybe I'll not be here sick in bed! <br />And out having fun Holiday shopping, like you!<br /><br />Linda Winchell<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/i-think-i-ve-got-the-flu/
