I am the other woman <br />that's now in my husband's life. <br />He doesn't go and see his mom to much <br />now that he's taken me, for his wife! <br /> <br />His mother seems to be jealous <br />of this love relationship, we have. <br />I've tried to include her in our lives <br />but she seems to, just get mad! <br /> <br />She can't smoke in our home <br />My husband and I won't, that allow! <br />But she can at least come to, Holiday dinners <br />and have her smoke, when she leaves somehow! <br /> <br />She never seems to like what I've cooked <br />say's it's, 'UGLY' and it taste like Poo! <br />So what is me, the other woman I ask? <br />now, what am I too do? <br /> <br />I've tried going over to her place <br />bought her candy and great gifts! <br />But she askes, 'Where is my son these days? ' <br />and throws a, tantrum childish fit! <br /> <br />I have never stopped her son from visiting <br />or calling her up, on the telephone! <br />I know she's getting old and frail <br />and is tired of being, left all alone! <br /> <br />I think I need to gently ask <br />my husband to, stop more than he has! <br />Because one day, I too might be acting like her <br />with that other woman feeling, that's so bad!<br /><br />Linda Winchell<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/i-am-the-other-woman/
