Once I had a heart of stone. It protected me
from any hurt or pain, that I may sustain
eventually.

Now, this heart of stone I no longer own. For
'twas melted by your tender kiss -
With each beat I could not retreat. From your
tender love and new found bliss.

Going through the gallery of my dreams it seems
the hurt of the past has at last faded away.
These dreams now that flow through are all of
you an that is how, 'twill stay.

My heart of stone I no longer own, 'tis putty
against your velvet skin. As your warm love
slowly seeps through. I can feel the heat so
sweet from within.

No longer stone, this heart that I own. It beats
so loud an clear. And thanks to you and our
love that is true. This part of my past 'tis gone
now at last; to never again - reappear.......

****************************************************
~TJW~

Thad Wilk

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/heart-of-stone-12/
