I couldn't figure out, just what I had <br />why always around the Holidays <br />I would feel so sad! <br /> <br />My health seemed ok <br />well as good as it could. <br />But I just couldn't figure out <br />why I wasn't, feeling so good! <br /> <br />No real money issues <br />not a problem at home. <br />But this miserable feeling <br />wouldn't seem to leave me alone! <br /> <br />I tried all I could, to shake it all off <br />but it kept going deeper <br />my moods, were becoming my cross! <br /> <br />Why is it I wondered? <br />That I always get, to feeling this way? <br />Around when it comes <br />to these, Christmas Holidays? <br /> <br />Could it be that I long? <br />for what I once use too have? <br />With all the children and relatives <br />and my, Dear Mom and Dad? <br /> <br />It's not the same, as it once use to be <br />these Holidays are different <br />Well, they're different for me! <br /> <br />It's not the same, this emailing, ya know? <br />I sometimes need a hug and a kiss <br />from the family, I know! <br /> <br />Maybe next year? <br />I'll have the money to visit, I'll just wait and see. <br />And fly down for a visit, for the Holidays <br />their present, just LITTLE OLD ME!<br /><br />Linda Winchell<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/couldn-t-figure-out-what-i-had/
