Have you ever asked yourself 'What color is love? ' <br />Some would say it is white, <br />Because a dove is the sign of love, and they are white. <br /> <br />Some would say it is red, <br />Because when you visualize your heart it is red, <br />And lies in a bed of blood. <br /> <br />Some would say it is green, <br />Because Mother Nature is green, and she is love, <br />That is why we have veggies like green beans. <br /> <br />The truth is we do not know what color love is, <br />It comes in many forms, <br />From Tough Love that calls a blow, <br />To sweet love that holds you when the tears flow. <br /> <br />No one ever thinks that a crow could be love, <br />Partly because it is black, not white like a dove. <br />We should love everyone whether friend or foe, <br />But often what we should do, <br />Is not what we would do. <br /> <br />So I ask you my friend, <br />How do you know? <br />Just what color love is, or in whom it can flow. <br />Love is something anyone can have, and over time it will grow, <br />And one day, when someone needs it, it will glow.<br /><br />Rita Hawkins<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/what-color-is-love-2/
