Diogenes sat in his drum <br />drank through a straw his Bundy rum. <br />He was by others deemed as wise <br />his wisdom came from eating flies. <br />You see, you may not know that they <br />contain a substance in their gray <br />and bland attire, plus their wings <br />that maketh intellectual things. <br />So wise Diogenes ingests <br />the local flies, and then he rests. <br />Inside his belly they do find <br />the rum that sends all insects blind. <br />As Bundy Rum is made by Brits <br />it gives not only flies the shits. <br />It does, however free the mind <br />and feeds the brain and makes you blind. <br />The wisdom of Diogenes <br />is based on flies and rum, no less.<br /><br />Herbert Nehrlich<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-wisdom-of-diogenes/
