Enchanting days of bliss are <br />the one commodity that still lingers <br />within my shadow wherever I go <br /> <br />Recapturing moments of yesterday <br />and listening to the waves hit as we <br />sat on the edge of shore banks feeding <br />the seagulls, walking silently hand and hand <br />till the sun had set, with only a few spoken words <br /> <br />Silently you kissed me that night <br />your tears told me what I had dreaded <br />to hear, your lips were not filled with <br />pasion, but with empitness and I knew <br />tommorrows had to cease <br /> <br />Into the fall of that year, our love lingered <br />and drifted to the point where there was <br />no return, difficult as it was, as bitter/sweetly <br />as we kissed good by and the tears on both <br />of us for reasons only we could explain, we <br />knew our seasons had ended that year, but <br />excepting them was a new chapter of love........<br /><br />Bonnie Collins<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-new-chapter-of-love/
