Once I had a heart of stone <br />It had gotten lost and could not find its way home <br />It couldn't love another, even though it tried and wanted to <br />But along came my awnser. All along, my heart was just waiting for you <br />The stone wall that once surrounded it began to break away <br />And now it fills with more love for you with each passing day <br />My heart is warm now. It no longer knows the feeling of cold <br />My heart beats within your chest next to your heart of gold <br />My heart is no longer silent. It sings a joyful love song <br />It sings for the part of me that I thought was long and forever gone <br />At one time, I had a lost and cold heart of stone <br />But now it beats within your chest right next to yours.
