Clouds have cleared to colour the sky blue <br />Whilst leaves have turned red since I last saw you <br />The seasons have changed yet am still the same <br />Same man, same feelings and still the same aim <br />The aim of being in your presence once again <br />For without you I question whether or not am sane <br />The sun has risen from the east and set in the west <br />Yet these eyes of mine never did want to rest <br />As I walk in the midst of the crowd all alone <br />I walk with aches in my body as I have grown <br />I guess I get better with time just like fine wine <br />A million miles away from reality I appear offline <br />As I see a pearl amongst the crowd in all white <br />Like a firefly she's filled my empty life with light <br />The smile that sets my heart ablaze is here <br />Our hazel eyes meet and sink in love as we near <br />We're face to face as I look into the eyes of grace <br />Tears in her eyes as she touches my aging face <br />I close my eyes as I begin to feel her tender touch <br />Inexplicable feelings as my heart she begins to clutch <br />Pulling me near as I hear a symphony crystal clear <br />She whispered her thoughts into my ear <br />'After we parted I felt completely empty <br />But now you've come and completed me' <br />Praying this embrace will last so that we never part <br />For she's the only remedy for this pain in my heart <br />I feel her lips on my neck for the very first time <br />With hearts beating faster her lips then met mine <br />It was as though as we had a lack of air <br />As I ran my hands through her fine silky hair <br />Old age reflected on my weary face <br />But with her age apparently left no trace<br /><br />Yassar Ali<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/at-first-sight-3/
