I see this <br />Fire Ball <br />shifting; <br />I see its <br />glow <br />which is transfixing; <br /> <br />it dances <br />in thin air, <br />it floats <br />folding over itself <br />and more, <br />it trails sparkle dust. <br /> <br />This Fire Ball <br />transfixes me <br />singeing sometimes <br />my finger tips <br /> <br />and once landed <br />on my carpeted floor <br /> <br />where I approached <br />wanting to see up close <br />what lies in side my Fire-Ball <br />the orb I live with. <br /> <br />A tiny light <br />danced just inside <br />and eager <br />I peeked close <br />to see <br />an eye looking straight back at me; <br /> <br />an eye <br />looking back at me. <br /> <br />Startled <br />I move away <br />and then <br />go back for another look <br />placing my face up close <br />again to see <br />an eye <br />that blinking <br /> <br />looking at me. <br /> <br />It was my own eye <br />blinking. <br /> <br />I have this Fire Ball <br />which transfixing me <br />and now I realize <br />it's me; <br />my own Consciousness <br />possessing me. <br /> <br /> <br />I am stunned by the <br />realization <br />that womankind <br />and mankind <br />are the only animals <br />which can recognize <br />and stare eye to eye <br />with our own existence.<br /><br />Lonnie Hicks<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-fire-ball/
