What shalt thou forget? <br />how canst one forget <br />this mystic goddess of love. <br />So slim like gazelle, <br />body chiselled <br />brown eyes sparkling <br />like stars twinkling <br />in the midnight skies. <br /> <br />Her face as milky <br />like snowflakes silky <br />lips a vermal red <br />blush deeper sweets <br />And cheeks like <br />apples in snow greets. <br />Silken strands of hair so brown <br />with streaks of golden hues, <br />fluttering in breeze <br />like crimson flags <br />atop the mountain tags. <br /> <br />When she’s around <br />Eden’s at play surround <br />Hast thou seen <br />the brilliant sun <br />Aloft the skies in a run? <br />Never did it more beautifully steep <br />Over treetops, mountains and vales so deep. <br />See how the ocean is lashing <br />Its waves upon the shores a dashing <br />And hear the sighs of <br />gentle breeze, <br />so distant <br />yet so close, <br />like flutes of yore. <br />See the roses in spring <br />with butterflies, peacocks <br />and bees in swing. <br /> <br />In desolation <br />and in happiness <br />thy love she is. <br />Her love thou remains <br />thy love poems show. <br />In the lap of love thou art <br />At nights, not alone <br />with perfumes and wine <br />and wanton hours, <br />shes always <br />in thy thoughts <br /> <br />On grainy sands of her heart <br />Thy name is etched from start <br />to end, the tears she sheds <br />like drops of blood <br />become crystals of diamonds <br />to sparkle for eternity. <br /> <br />Nay do not forget <br />Or shall I say <br />THOU SHALL NEVER <br />FORGET HER <br /> <br />That mystic goddess of love <br /> <br />05-02-2009<br /><br />ANJALI SINHA<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/mystic-goddess-of-love/
