They have concerned themselves, <br />More with the vote... <br />And not the folks. <br /> <br />A splitting done in Washington, <br />Between those conservative and liberal. <br /> <br />As people are living lives... <br />Trying to survive. <br />And caring less who is democratic, <br />Or republican! <br />And whose ego thrives! <br /> <br />While humanity lives in a suffering. <br />Through an economic downturn, <br />Procrastinators bring. <br />There is a quality of life rapidly evaporating. <br />And those in the know... <br />Realize this is not what they chose! <br /> <br />A fighting between those of selfish means... <br />Has some caring less who is being burned. <br />As long as they keep divisions seen and in vision... <br />With an outdated bickering... <br />To mask a secret thieving. <br />That progresses the magnitude, <br />Of a tremendous mess. <br /> <br />And what is really needed to diminish the status quo... <br />Is a massive psychiatric treatment that is bestowed. <br />And heeded to administer immediately. <br />Upon the minds of these elitists. <br />Crazed to represent days, <br />Long gone that even then made no sense. <br />Not if it led their followers, <br />To today's demented conflicts.<br /><br />Lawrence S.
