In a hidden golden land <br />Beyond the rainbow, standing <br />Only a hearbeat away, <br />There lives a smitten lady <br />Who looks forlorn, love-sick eyes <br />Turn longingly to search skies <br />From whence her Valentine departs <br />On winter clouds to bring his heart. <br /> <br />She, only half alive, breath <br />Expiring, sighs, love's deathly <br />Pallor covers softest cheeks <br />As time stands still. She meekly <br />Waits, sure her Knight will arrive. <br /> <br />Such hunger for his heart, alive <br />And beating strong will abate <br />Desire. All will be sated <br />When he comes.
