Come help me to write my story <br />The one I need for you to tell. <br />Of the times I've spent here on earth <br />And the others I've spent in my silent Hell. <br /> <br />Come give me some bits and pieces <br />Of what you think my life was or might have been. <br />Come share with others my secrets held <br />Of the darkness of unmentioned sins. <br /> <br />Come help me to pen line by line <br />What you think it was you've seen. <br />In the harvest that I was unable to reap <br />And of anothers I had only gleaned. <br /> <br />Please tell them of the life I've lived <br />For I can not tell its dreadful story. <br />I haven't anything to boast about <br />None of which in life I have not glory. <br /> <br />For the words are stuck deep within my mouth <br />And ner do words I wish to dare explain. <br />Of this life I hid from anothers view <br />A life of lies and of unforgiven shame. <br /> <br />Come help me to write my story <br />Type it and send it out for all that they might read. <br />I haven't the time left in my life to do it now <br />In this, my barren life you've helped me to see.<br /><br />Linda Winchell<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/come-help-me-to-write-my-story/
