I stand at the edge of the crossroads, <br />Oh, what is this dilemma? <br />Do I pick the path of blood? <br />Or do I pick the path of thorns? <br />Which one would finish quickly? <br />At my thoughts, I myself, scorn. <br />What is this constant need to choose? <br />This constant urge to decide. <br />To choose one thing over the other, <br />And then to move on, to ride. <br />Ride past the sands of the desert. <br />Past the tides of the ocean. <br />Past the nights of gloominess. <br />Past the days of the joyous sun. <br />Yet once again we arrive, <br />At the crossroads we just passed. <br />Now the choices might be different, <br />So might be the tasks. <br />Once again, we are forced to decide, <br />Which path we must choose. <br />Keeping in mind our potential benefits, <br />And also what we just might lose. <br />Oh curse this dilemma! <br />The constant urge to make a choice. <br />The urging desire to scream. <br />The pressing necessity to hear my own voice. <br />But a day will come, <br />When I will not have to choose. <br />I will get my freedom. <br />I just might, I just might. <br />When it will be out of my hands. <br />Just me, my balance of deed, <br />And a bright white light. <br />Oh curse this dilemma! <br />Oh curse this dilemma!<br /><br />Ridah Ellahi<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/dilemma-recommended/
