Misplacements: <br />Oh, If I only had the wisdom <br />of my later years <br />coupled with the enthusiastic non-wisdom of my youth. <br /> <br />If only I had my twenties body <br />with the passion of my fifties. <br /> <br />Oh, if only I had the child-rearing insights <br />of my later years <br />and the energy of that 23 year old. <br /> <br />Ah men, if I really chose the dashing one <br />I so loved at 18 <br />would I have the devotion and dependability <br />of the 55 year old? <br /> <br />What I need <br />apparently <br />is a 55 year old <br />with the mind of 23 <br />and the body of 19 <br />and a ravenous appetite <br />for things <br />romantic and sweet. <br /> <br />Throw in some innocence <br />and the vision is complete. <br /> <br />If I am male <br />then things change <br />and reverse. <br />And the secret long kept is out. <br /> <br />As Johnny Male <br />I maybe will seek <br />the 23 year old <br />able to bear 8 kids; <br />I'll get innocence <br />rather than critique; <br />strong body <br />the family <br />to complete. <br /> <br />So maybe it is not such a bad idea <br />to have May-December marriages. <br />First or second wives <br />or husbands- the extended family. <br /> <br />What do you think?<br /><br />Lonnie Hicks<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/december-in-may-marriages/
