There was set in life to be <br />A diamond born, <br />Twas his destiny. <br />Though once he starting growing, <br />The diamond was too but he started knowing.. <br />That we are born to live and die, <br />So he asked himself...'Why even try'? <br /> <br />The diamond inside him grew and grew, <br />Then life turned mean to him, <br />Cutting him, beating him black and blue. <br />Already feeling dead inside, <br />Deeper inside himself he went to hide. <br /> <br />Everyday as life went on, <br />His anger grew but the diamond shined on. <br />Every once in a while you could catch a glance... <br />Oh my, it would make your soul dance. <br />Then something happened one day.. <br />Noone knew, he decided to keep that part from me and you. <br /> <br />I cannot wait to see that diamond. <br />That diamond so bright and brilliant with all the dust dirt and mud cleaned off. <br />I cannot wait for the wonderful shine.. <br />That diamond that should have been mine.<br /><br />Butterflies In My Belly Forever<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-diamond/
