BREAKING TIME’S SHACKLES! <br /> <br />I was born free like the floating clouds, <br />Rising at dawn with the morning sun; <br />Floating up high with those clouds, <br />Changing shapes in those days of fun! <br />And at night time appeared to look frozen <br />and still, <br />Shining with those shimmering stars in <br />space, <br />All eternity appeared to be within grasp, <br />And radiance covered my bonny face! <br />With the sun the azimuth I reached, <br />While time remained with me to thrill! <br />Now with time - I play foxes and hounds, <br />As I descend with the setting sun; <br />With fleeting thoughts in my mind, <br />The lost day must be won! <br />Like the mighty ocean I lie confined, <br />But I sing in chains like the rolling sea! <br />With the rolling waves I sing His praise, <br />Which breaks on the shore ceaselessly! <br />And again with the rising sun I shall rise <br />once more, <br />Braking those time-bound shackles free! <br /> -Raj Nandy <br /> New Delhi <br /> 01 Mar 09<br /><br />RAJ NANDY<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/breaking-time-s-shackles/
