Perhaps a greatest source of disappointment <br />lies in recognition of ones own msjudgment. <br /> <br />A memory rekindled, less real than it seemed, <br />a reality experienced, less vivid than in dreams, <br /> <br />a man deemed honest lies, <br />a 'healthy' woman dies, <br />the knight in shining armour <br />turns the wimp in real life, <br />a face suggesting ardour <br />is a blank behind the eyes... <br /> <br /> <br />Perhaps a greatest source of our misjudgment <br />is the tendency to build conclusions on a fragment <br />of what we dream to be reality, <br />or so it often seems to be to me; <br /> <br />for one distilled generalisation <br />from one instant or event <br />does not make for a balanced equation <br />of the nature or intent, <br />or the honesty or integrity <br />of the whole. Personality <br />is built on endless such events; <br />(and events, it seems, on numerous intents) . <br /> <br />And so.
