Grandma said that she’s moving this week <br />That God found her a much better home. <br />Grandpa’s already gone ahead to welcome her in <br />He’s been living there now, not too long. <br /> <br />Grandma said her time is almost up on earth <br />She’s done what God had in His plan for her life alone. <br />Soon she needs to be moving on, to be with Grandpa <br />In their sweet and beautiful, Heavens home. <br /> <br />She told me that if she stayed around much longer <br />That there wouldn’t be room enough for you and me. <br />I guess Grandma knows what’s she’s saying here <br />She always seemed to know <br />What God wanted for her life to be. <br /> <br />So now, I’ll say my, ”fair-thee-wells” <br />Giving my Grandma, one last kiss good-bye! <br />In hopes that I will see her and Grandpa one day <br />Up in their Heavenly home <br />In the sweet, ” by and by.”<br /><br />Linda Winchell<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/grandma-said-that-she-s-moving/
