With my eyes closed, <br />my wounds open to the world, <br />probabilities and possibilities <br />so I run, so hard to the garden, <br />to await my pardon. <br />I wait, and wait, for her there, <br />while the pixies play and dance, <br />as sip wine, while drunk on love. <br />I sit a table for two, <br />boundless splendor, I declare. <br /> <br />The songbirds sings me a song of silence, <br />as running Rabbits dance, <br />carefree with no worries, <br />as the flying Squirrel, laugh and squall, <br />on the limbs of trees, about the silly Rabbits, <br />while the Great Horned Owl looks down at the daisy, <br />while they cry at the beautifully colored amber sky. <br />The red snails run and hide from the night shade, <br />awaiting the light of a lovers full moon. <br />The Plantain lily lays close to the ground <br />calling her home, Over and Over. <br />As purple Iris's rainbow's perk up, <br />under the new lovers full moon's <br />to come. <br /> <br />The roses shed their thorns, <br />to my delight, <br />nor they never wish to harm <br />the grandeur of my the garden <br />as my cat scooter plays in the bushes <br />and My' Dog Honda awaits by my side; <br />with a bell around her neck, <br />to ring of her arrival............ <br />Who will kiss her first, <br />me or the moon?<br /><br />Randy Hogan<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-date-under-the-star/
