MOMENTS ARE NOT ENOUGH! <br /> <br />“Grab those precious golden moments and <br />savor them, … <br />They are like dew drops into which life has <br />distilled itself ….! ” - <br />Such things I have read, and often been told! <br />But on cool reflection I find that these moments, - <br />Fall far too short to even grasp, express or hold; <br />The gamut of human aspirations, hopes and <br />passions! <br />And like dew drops moments fast melt away, - <br />Under the scorching sun of the day! <br />We require days, hours, months and years, - <br />For the vast array of our thoughts to blossom, - <br />For expressing our life of laughter and tears! <br />Our love of life, its many wild and orchestral <br />tunes, - <br />Our love of nature, and our countless dreams, - <br />Cannot be contained in a moment no matter <br />how glorious it my seem! <br />Since life itself is an image of transience! <br />Even a life-time is too short to delve its <br />multi-faceted secrets! <br />How can a single moment hold all of life’s <br />love, compassion and agonies, - <br />Which are like the vast uncharted sea? ! <br />So I prayed to the Lord to distill all our life’s <br />hate, jealousies and greed, - <br />Into little dew drops of crystal moments, - <br />For them to get evaporated under the life- <br />giving Sun of the day! ! <br /> -Raj Nandy <br /> 25 Mar 09 <br />(After having written on merits of ‘moments’ <br /> till date, I wanted to express a different view <br /> point to my readers!)<br /><br />RAJ NANDY<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/moments-are-not-enough/
