old age seems to be creeping up on me. <br />i stare at words that i can not see. <br />i have arthritis setting in <br />i'm feeling all the needles and pins. <br /> <br />my bones ache, my skin flakes <br />more pills i can't take <br />they say there are pills for all you feel <br />but with this i can not deal. <br /> <br />i felt a headache starting to rise <br />it felt like thunder and lightning <br />flashing thru my mind. <br />thunder and lightning of every kind. <br /> <br />then i was asked a simple question today. <br />at the end of the day, do i pray? <br /> <br />stunned! i did not know what to say <br />but the question stayed in my mind <br />for a very long time. <br /> <br />so that night i said a prayer <br />woke in the morning without a care. <br />it seems that prayer puts your body at ease. <br />and of that- i am pleased. <br /> <br />and now every night i say a prayer <br />for i know that GOD is near.<br /><br />louis rams<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/old-age-prayer/
