I see your picture Lord <br />With a sacred heart <br />Surrounded by <br />The stations of the Cross <br />I weep, I ask – <br />“Where do these thoughts come from? <br />These inspirations and ideas and <br />Answer myself, from all I've learnt. <br />I am confused Lord, I do not know <br />What I do is right or wrong <br />I was born in your fold <br />Brought up in true Christian faith <br />My father a preacher and mother <br />Never lagged behind to fast and pray <br />Still, yet from a tender age <br />You have let me be influenced <br />By another other than Thee <br />I write poetry on a God other than Thee <br />“God, is God a concept <br />A figment of our mind? ” <br />A rose remains a rose <br />By whatever name it is called <br />Its fragrance doesn’t change <br />With each and every call <br />Then God aren’t you God <br />When I call you by any name <br />Jesus, Allah, Narayana… <br />Or don’t you bloom <br />Even if I do not call! <br />God will be God <br />He will always love and bless <br />The rain and sun <br />Falls equally on all men <br />Whether believer or atheist <br />We are all his children <br />And brothers in this world [earth] <br />Which he has given to us <br />To love, to cherish and to share!<br /><br />Angelina Pandian<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/god-is-god-3/
