The wave surged as it was building <br />The enormity of tide for the shore <br />Years after years it had washed down <br />Leaving marks of the undercurrents <br />Not once is this as the time slipped <br />Into the waves surfing in distance <br />Ecstatic emerald in colors green <br />Sandy white like her silken lowers <br />Like breeze of sea fast she came <br />Flowers waiting in row to welcome <br />The gesture was that not too straight <br />Gaze for eyes where the mysteries <br />For I could catch the glimpse of lip <br />As my glance touched the line <br />The barren inside of the drought <br />Shore had been in thirst for centuries <br />Like wave receding back to nowhere <br />She slowly ebbed away from my eyes <br />Nay the emptiness of corner detest <br />The emptiness she might have filled <br />In heaven they say there no corner <br />Round the houses bigger but here <br />Still in my corner I imagine the wild <br />Not so wild but the tamed how made <br />Magic and with love but to no avail <br />10/4/2009 <br /> <br />From: The Corner<br /><br />Sadiqullah Khan<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/like-breeze-of-sea/
