Hey Anjali
Its a beautiful morning here in Gurgaon
I wish you were here with me to see the rising sun
to feel the increasing warmth of the rays run through your body
I wanted you to be near me to hear the morning aarti at the nearby temple
to seek Almightys blessing for our nascent friendship
then children began to leave for school and I wished I could share
the innocence and naughtiness on their face with you
Also would have loved to shared the refreshing cup of ginger tea at the local chaiwallah better than any you would find in Australia
Then as I took my bath in icy cold water I just wanted you to feel the same chill run down your spine
would have loved to share with you my breakfast of paranthas and dahi with another piping hot cup of elaichi tea
Then as I boarded the cab for office I saw a sadhu singing om namaha shivay and I prayed for your happiness our friendship and your Hindi
Sweet college guys and gals wished me goodmorning and I wished I could introduce them to you as my beloved lass
and when the class gets dull and boring I remember your Hindi and have a nice smile on my face
and now its midday and half my work is done and its a pleaure to have a few minutes to recollect last evening pices of conversation
Your erudition and a voice full of love for a lonely spirit like me
You will not be there in the evening when I have panipuri at the local chatwallah
but ill buy some for you as well and gulp them remembering you
so if your mouth starts to get all spicy in the middle of eating your pudding you would know whom to blame for it :)

anurag duggal

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-morning-with-without-you/
