The darkness in the air looms, <br />As the fear comes, the tears start to comsume. <br />My body trembles and shakes as the world comes to a hault, <br />I shake in fear from the guilt in fault. <br />He died, all because of me, <br />Died when I was blinded and couldn't see. <br />I killed him and meant it at the time, <br />But now I see we could've made up instead of hearing his scream chime. <br />They pierced the air, and death was surrounding, <br />The thoughts I was feeling, all emotions were grounding. <br />Hate, was the only thing felt, <br />Before he went, down on his knees he knelt. <br />Looked into my eyes and down he fell, <br />Realizing what happened, my heart began to accel. <br />I killed him, <br />A mortal sin. <br />Darkness surrounds me, and I hear another chime, <br />And I hear it once, but it's not a scream this time. <br />The gun goes off and my heart stutters, <br />Just for a second my eyelid flutters. <br />Done, gone, end, <br />Alone in darkness I stand<br /><br />Tiffany Wolf<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/alone-in-darkness-4/
