Sky blows a kiss through rain and blossoms fill a patch of ground:
Warm air hugs the cold and trembles with a lover’s sound.
Leaves blanket tufts of grass as all the trees reach out in peace:
With each movement of the rake I feel harmony increase,

Motions slow as I bend down to catch the strays and stop their song
I pick up bales and move them off; the grass is calm-but not for long
Wind calls softly to the trees inviting branches to its dance.
Trees lean forward; leaves fall down, and wrap the earth in new romance.

Captured by the wind, I ‘m still a stranger to this weather
When Earth, by her introduction, asks us all to dance together.
At once speechless, then more soothed, I am reminded what to say
I face the sky and then the trees as we all whisper Namaste.

Suzanne McNamee

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/namaste-4/
