We take from God, <br />the gifts he gives, <br />and give nothing in return. <br />Not a prayer of thanks, <br />or even thoughts of gratitude can be heard. <br /> <br />We say we deserve all we have, <br />that we didn't do anything wrong <br />Have never killed and rarely swear. <br />Who has the right to judge where we belong? <br /> <br />But each sin, <br />each stupid, easily avoided mistake, <br />matters to someone, <br />whether Holy or human, <br />someone's heart, someday will break. <br /> <br />And for what? <br />Five minutes of pleasure? <br />Wealth?
