I land on a strange planet, <br />With queer beings all around. <br />Bewildered, I shout, cry and howl. <br />Its like, my voice in the vaccum. <br />Perplexed, they stare, <br />And what I say, <br />They can't comprehend. <br /> <br />I slowly, learn their langauge. <br />But, to get my way, <br />I stamp my feet, <br />And they say, <br />I throw tantraums. <br />But all in vain. <br />They redicule and nod their heads <br />From side to side. <br />I experiment in a unique way. <br />And they insensitively call it mischief. <br />They chide, admonish and manoeuvere, <br />And almost never comply. <br /> <br />I grudgingly and out of obligation, <br />Master their manners, <br />And their way of life. <br />And one fine day, <br />I adroitely, <br />Give them a piece of my mind...err <br />Piece of my thought. <br />But to my utter amazement, <br />This time the sit back, <br />And give me an ear, <br />And say, ''Hmmm! this one seems to be, <br />An erudite, mature and a dextrous man.''<br /><br />maitreyee joshi<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/matuirity/
