A single tear <br />frozen in time <br />poised to fall <br />Captured emotion, is all <br /> <br />Was it a tear of lost romance <br />Was it a tear of love that never had a chance <br />Was it a tear of past hurt that would not leave <br />or was it a tear shed for someone for whom you grieve <br /> <br />I see the tear <br />and its so clear <br />that inside you're hurting so <br />and I ask because I care to know <br /> <br />And when I ask you always say It's OK <br />and I'm to think all is fine <br />But sometimes I hear your reply <br />and in it I feel how hard you try <br /> <br />I love you in my own way <br />the only way I know <br />I wonder about you since we fist met <br />Does it show? <br /> <br />When I think of a tear ready to fall <br />and drip down the face I admire <br />and feel inside my heart <br />I wish I could kiss it before it had a chance to start <br /> <br />and whether we stop or ever start <br />You're in my heart <br />as real as the reflection <br />cast by the mirror in your direction <br /> <br />I look into the mirror myself sometimes <br />and see a face I hardly know <br />I see the wear and tear of lonliness <br />and sadess too does show <br /> <br />I've got a heart for you <br />and all it has for you is care <br />Though I realize life is not always fair <br />There remains a hope that love, we're somehow meant to share<br /><br />JAMES T.
