There is nothing good <br />about this place <br />nothing good <br />about this chase <br /> <br />Its cold and dark <br />joy has ceased <br />no happiness here <br />cruelty an untamed beast <br /> <br />Why anyone would want to be here <br />I don't know <br />forced is how I came <br />to this place so low <br /> <br />Its amazing how it seems unreal <br />this quiet and strange place <br />Its so desprate and sad <br />there is no happy face <br /> <br />I only see the mask <br />that people put on <br />hiding there gray, dull, facade <br />until its finally past dawn <br /> <br />Only then does their true self show <br />Only then do their tears come out <br />Only then do they scream for help <br />Only then do themselves they show they doubt <br /> <br />But funny because the longer I stay <br />The more like them I become <br />The more weary and shattered I am <br />The more my feelings go numb <br /> <br />I want to escape <br />I need to get away from here <br />To forget everything about this place <br />But what I've learned I'll hold dear<br /><br />Silent Speaker<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/away-from-here-5/
