It's Bronwyn's birthday today, her age has upped a notch <br />That's OK as long as on her wrinkles you don't keep watch <br />The spider veins, liver spots, grey hairs poking through <br />Are signs that on this earth, Bronwyn is not so new <br /> <br />She's been around a bit, done childhood and all that stuff <br />Now she's not exactly old and I wouldn't say her meat is tough <br />She could probably still dance all night if that would take her fancy <br />But she doesn't, because her hip and knee, well they are a little chancy <br /> <br />Still cook a delicious meal, she can, and wash up all the dishes <br />Although I'm not so sure that it's one of her greatest wishes <br />Sat up cosy reading a great book, now we're getting closer <br />So I just hope that the rest of her life, she makes the very most'er <br /> <br />(Sydney, Australia - 2008)<br /><br />Alessandra Liverani<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/bronwyn-s-birthday-humour/
