THE YELLOW ROOM <br />(for Bryan) <br /> <br />I want to go <br />& live in <br /> <br />Bryan's room <br />even though it doesn't exist <br /> <br />except <br />on canvas. <br /> <br />I walk in through the door <br />of his imagination. <br /> <br />Close this reality behind me <br />& sit still...very still. <br /> <br />If you should look <br />(you won't see me) <br /> <br />for I will have always just left <br />& gone into the room beyond <br /> <br />or sat on the window ledge <br />just out of reach of the canvas. <br /> <br />I will always be <br />somewhere in THE YELLOW ROOM <br /> <br />there <br />even when <br /> <br />I am <br /> <br />(not there) . <br /> <br />******* <br />Bryan was holding an open studio and l finally got to see in the flesh so to speak my favourite painting of his. I was well pleased. <br /> <br />******* <br /> <br />INSIDE...THE YELLOW ROOM <br /> <br />Inside its yellow <br />room <br /> <br />the giant blue amoeba alien <br />sits patiently & waits <br /> <br />to transform itself into <br />the absurd <br /> <br />two legged <br />creatures. <br /> <br />It’s DNA sequence <br />floats around inside <br /> <br />bouncing off the walls <br />of its cell. <br /> <br />An eye has appeared <br />as a little bit of cloud <br /> <br />but as yet <br />sees nothing. <br /> <br />It has grown legs <br />like a table <br /> <br />but the human form <br />is proving difficult to master. <br /> <br />When the CIA <br />stormed the place <br /> <br />it successfully <br />passed itself off <br /> <br />as a table. <br /> <br />Now it takes the form <br />of a poet <br />(one Dónall Dempsey) <br /> <br />not realising just what <br />a bad move this is! <br /> <br />******* <br /> <br />Bryan now favoured a more abstract style and even his THE YELLOW ROOM could be seen differently by the slightly drunken eye. Thus follows the alternate version titled: INSIDE...
