Looking through a windowed glass <br />Trying to see through its mystical haze <br />Searching for something I just can`t see <br />I am on the outside looking in <br />Making a cup over my eyes <br />With my hands; to peer in <br />I still can`t see anything <br />But laughter, smiles and glowing eyes of happiness <br />I can`t hear anything but muffled words <br />I am on the outside looking in <br />If I just stood out here <br />In the rainy storm of wonder <br />Continued to try to peer inside <br />Would someone walk out <br />And invite me in? <br />Or would they all just continue <br />Their festival of joyous happenings? <br />I am on the outside looking in <br />I want to join their little party <br />I want to be a welcomed guest <br />But I am on the outside looking in <br />I don`t want to be, any longer <br />On the outside looking in<br /><br />Jessica Robert<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/outside-looking-in-7/
