No whisper or sound no twitch or movement. <br />Cars there is none no trains or other humans. <br />Animals quiet and insects resting frozen. <br />Inside your house in the living room your T.V. isn't blaring. <br />Inside your kitchen no water boiling or pots and pans are pounding. <br />On the street you can't hear anything at all. <br />You know your walls have no sound and the carpet is unrustled. <br />In your room your bed is not creaking and cat is laying still. <br />Your T.V., Stereo, and computers off and your door is not budging. <br />Outside your window there is no wind or planes flying by. <br />You yourself are not moving not even batting an eye. <br />Don't want to move, twitch, or stir your relaxed calm. <br />But then you notice the silence it is deafening at first. <br />It is louder then kids screaming or a baby crying at night. <br />Louder than a concert or a helicopter starting off to fly. <br />Then it starts to dim down as you start to hear more. <br />You hear your breath steady, flexing, and flowing to keep you alive. <br />Next your hear the clock tick tick ticking away annoyingly on the wall. <br />You ignore it and lay there and you start to hear your heart. <br />It is rhythmic and repetitive more fragile than spider's silk. <br />Then you move on and hear your cats breathing and heartbeat. <br />Your feline friend starts purrrrring and its stomach starts to growl. <br />You think outside then hear a car and the silence disappears. <br />You loved the reach but you so know that was so intense. <br />You wanna hear again that Deafening Silence.<br /><br />Zachary Clark<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/deafening-silence-5/
